Hi Paul. I tried posting a response to your video last week, but it still hasn’t shown up…lost in the ether somewhere. Anyway thought you may be interested to know that there is a bug in C2019 which prevents this from working at the moment, but there is a workaround. See https://elearning.adobe.com/2018/11/ken-burns-effect-video-captivate/#comment-63567 for more info.

Hi Paul

Just resending an abridged version of my original post as I think the first one failed. Please see the attached video. I followed your instructions but I get a single frame of full-sized video as the system won’t let me drag back to the cut point, it always places the 0-sec duration effect 1 frame after the cut point when I release the mouse. Is this a bug in C2019?

Hi Paul

This is exactly the answer I was looking for and (in truth) I had kind of figured it out myself but was grateful to find your great videos as I was still having a problem with this. Originally I created the trim then created the new pan & zoom with the same settings as the original pan & zoom only with a duration of 0 sec. The only problem was my version didn’t work and I would always get a single frame of full-size imagery as the system wouldn’t let me drag the pan & zoom all the way back to the cut point, it would always jump 1 frame forward when I released the mouse. Hence why I went looking to see what I was doing wrong and came across your useful video.

Anyway, I then tried your method of creating the pan & zooms first and then trimming the video before dragging the zoom of 0-sec duration back to the edit point……but then I ran into the same problem. The zoom would always jump forward 1 frame when the mouse is released so that I still get a single frame of the image full frame before instantaneously jumping to the zoomed status. No matter what I have tried I get the same result. Is this a bug that has crept in, as I am using Captivate 2019 (11.0.1.266). I’ve included an example video to show the issue.

Please let me know what, if anything, I am doing wrong or if it is a bug.
