What do you mean by exporting the Timeline, please? There is so much linked to the timeline, please do not compare two totally different tools. Which information do you want, I have never heard that someone ever wants to export a ‘timeline’, means probably a misunderstanding or wrong terminology.

Thank you for your response.  That allows me to export the captions but not the timeline.  When I use Storyline I’m able to export more information.  I wondered if there was a trick to getting the more detailed information?

Export using the menu item, File –> Export –> Project Captions and Closed Captions…
