2 questions: 1) Would Adobe consider adding the same VR hotspot menu to the standard projects? 2) If not, can someone suggest another way to accomplish this?
The 2019 Version has a very cool option to create VR Projects using 360 degree photos and videos.
When you open a VR project you can a Menu of Hotpots that allow the learner to interact with the photo.
I’m wondering why Adobe wouldn’t consider adding this hotspot menu to the standard projects?
I for one could use those immediately to create a richer experience for my learners on a regular project. For example, we wish to
create a “Tour of Features” on a piece of software and if I could use hotspots on a flat photo or snipit photo of the software, it would allow me to do that with pop ups from the hotspots including Questions, pop-up pictures showing what you get when you click the button, etc.
So 2 questions:
1) Would Adobe consider adding the same VR hotspot menu to the standard projects?
2) If not, can someone suggest another way to accomplish this?
Thank you

I posted a first possible workflow to create hotspots in a non-VR project. The original behavior in VR projects is almost replicated. You get a link to a cptx-project, from which you can copy/paste the hotspots slide to your projects, and have just to edit the states of a multistate object and eventually the design/colors. Have a look at:

Personally I find the hotspots more limiting than the default interactive objects that you have since eons in Captivate for a normal project. I am busy writing out an article about the timeline in VR projects and 360 slides. In short: if you use a shape button to create a hotspot, it can have a duration (which is not the case for hotspots) and the shape button can launch an action out of a list that is way longer. A hotspot can only show an image, text (with very little styling oppportunities), play audio and a couple more actions. With a shape button you can launch an advanced action, a shared action, change states, and do a lot more. I would never use hotspots in its present limited version in a normal project. Check my blog for many use cases of using shape buttons.
