Hello, I am facing a problem in the Text-To-Speech and close captions functionality.

In short: it happens quite often that when I change the TTS sentences and re-arrange the close captions the audio part is scrambled.

When I try to re-arrange the TTS audio part and the closed captions some audio sentences are duplicated. Now I can’t correct the sentence anymore. That’s a nightmare.

Is this a bug? How can be solved this time consuming problem?

I feel like I’m experiencing the same thing. I thought maybe it was because my project had gotten so large. I’ve been having a hard time figuring out why my “changed” audio is showing captions from other slides that I know I fixed (because I had to have in order to make the TTS). I am using 11.0.1.266 on a Mac.

Do you have slide audio, one clip per slide? For HTML output the audio has to be loaded On Enter for the slide. It is recommended, especially for very large clips to leave a small gap before and after the audio clip timeline in each slide. That gives little bit more time for loading and problems with synchronization.

Yes, slide audio, one clip per slide.

95% is tts. 5% is actual mp3 audio of people speaking.

Does having the gap affect the export? It takes 5-8 hours to export and I get completely blank files.

No, gap shouldn’t have any effect on publishing time. There must be another reason. How big is the file, cptx and after publishing? You can see the size after publishing using a button in the window Project Info (many users ignore its existence), both for SWF and HTML output.

Can you check the full version number, under ‘Help, About Captivate’? It should be 11.0.1.266.

I see in the tags ‘Captivate Draft’. Is this a project imported from that app on iPad?
