Good Day One and All;

I have been attempting to create a SCORM 2004 25 question quiz from a 50 question pool where all 25 questions are randomized. I make all the appropriate settings choices in Quiz->Preferences and when I go to preview the project I get a spinning wheel on launch. When I do a “Normal” (non-random) responsive quiz, it works fine.

System Info-

Win 10, Captivate 2019 Release, Firefox Browser

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have a look at:

https://elearning.adobe.com/2019/02/captivates-quizzes-2-submit-process/

There are three more, and now I am busy with posts about Tweaking Quiz slides.

The idea is that this is a final, single-attempt, closed book exam.

Can you check the exact version number under Help, About Captivate? It should be 11.0.1..266.

Are you talking about a Fluid Boxes or a Breakpoint Views responsive project?

How did you test: after publishing and uploading to a LMS (you can test on SCORM Cloud)?

Did you edit the quizzing master slides and/or delete embedded objects on the quiz slides in the pools? I had similar issues with a client’s project where they did delete embedded objects in the pools.

Good Day-

Version is 11.0.0.243. I will update shortly.

I am talking about Fluid boxes.

I did test by uploading the SCORm 2004 publishing package to 2 different LMS (IBM KeneXa and Moodle). Yes, I made the appropriate change in the QUIZ Setting for the publish package between the two.

I edited the quizzing master slide to meet display standards. No, I did not “delete” I moved items off the stage.

Thank you for the prompt response.

Moving objects off the stage is same as deleting them, you can have crippled the quiz slides that way. Which items did you move off the stage?

I removed the REVIEW and all the buttons except “submit”. I also kept the notifications (Correct,Incorrect, and You Must answer…).

you should check the sequence of posts I published here about Quizzes.

Instead of moving those buttons off the stage, you can uncheck them in Quiz Preferences. If you do not allow Review, the Review buttons will never appear. If you allow Review you should need them. The other buttons are unchecked by default in Quiz Preferences: Clear, Skip and Back. It is really bad practice to mess up with objects without individual timelines.

Ok, I will do that. Thank you for your assistance and I will keep you informed.

I posted links to two posts of that sequence I talked about but still waiting moderation. Look for Quizzes Terminology and for Quizzes Submit Process to learn more about embedded objects on quiz slides.

Any news about the solution for your problem?

I appreciate the follow-up. Unfortunately, no. I just tried to make a responsive, random quiz with no changes to the default Question Master slide and I still have the same result. I am beginning to think that you cannot make more than 1 – 2 random question slides in a quiz.
