storyboard on laptop?
Hi – I see captivate storyboarding in the captivate draft app for iPad, but I don’t have an iPad. Would I be able to do storyboarding on my laptop?

I use either Keynote (like PowerPoint) or Word. Pen and paper are nice, to begin with, but I always convert my ideas to electronic format for easier to storage and replication (if necessary).
Doing it on paper would be a nice, haptically oriented way to approach this

Adobe XD is amazing for storyboarding. Participating in or following the Adobe XD challenges is a great way to quickly get acclimated to XD if it is new to you. They also just recently released some wonderful features! Also, if you go to the Adobe ed exchange there are some great templates that you can work with, although I actually find it easier to start from scratch with some inspiration from the templates.
As a ACP I know about XD, but do not totally agree with its usability for eLearning courses to be created with Captivate. Templates are not useful for that goal, and there is no direct collaboration between XD and Captivate as there is between Captivate Draft and Captivate.
Hi Agile Kelly, I recently discovered that I could storyboard with Google Drawings (on the Google Drive) and I’m finding it quite easy to layout my projects. The downside is that it can only handle one page per file name but it’s okay, I just save each “page” as it’s own file. Anyway, those are my 2 cents on storyboards!
Hi Alton, have you tried google slides? It has all the same functionality as drawings only you can keep everything in one project.
Good call Fergus… I had enjoyed GDrawings so much after using it for my flowcharts that I hadn’t given another thought.. I think I’ll be changing all of my slides to Slides now. Thanks!
I’ve never been able to get into Captivate Draft. I’ve tried to like it but I just don’t. I’d much rather just make some sketches on paper to get ideas flowing. Lieve has a point, it’s probably easier to just use Powerpoint. I plan on getting more familiar with Adobe XD (it’s free) for prototyping. Both Powerpoint and Adobe XD add additional skills to the resume.
Pen and paper work too. A whiteboard in your office/where you work is often a nice idea – lets you break away from a screen a little and access your kinaesthetic side.
I have an iPad but I rarely use Draft for storyboarding(use it mostly to have access to CC Libraries). You can use any app, even Captivate for that purpose? If you like PPT, use PPT (but do not use the PPT conversion in CP, too limited), mindmapping tool (I prefer that), even simple Word?
