Nice quick to the point on this subject.   I’m looking for a comprehensive discussion on this.

Hello !…

Thanks for sharing your lights !…

I was looking for the variable that could display the seconds (in the hourtime). I found one for the hour, one for the the minute, but none for the seconds. Is there a way to display this ?

Thanks  !…

There is no system variable for the seconds part of the system time. Why do you need seconds? Planning to refurbish my old blog post about showing time spent in a course or on a quiz, but that is something different.

I just want to teach how to read the hour on a clock…

It was ok for the Hour and Minute Hands… But it would be great to do the same with the seconds one…

With some advanced actions and some simple maths should be possible.

Table can be found in:

System variables

It has a second par with more tips

System variables part 2

The very special category with Quizzing system variables (par of my course about Quizzing):

For those interested in a descriptive table with all system variables, listed by category and with links to use cases on my blog I will post the link. Table is free, like any information on my blog.

The category System variables is indeed the only one with some variables which are not read only. But even other system variable can be changed either by JS or by using the cpExtra widget (HMTL only) created by InfoSemantics.

WIll post th links in a separate comment for moderation waiting time.
