Hi All,

I need some assistance I’ve looked everywhere, but I’m either posing my question incorrectly or I’m off base and there is no fix.

I have text captions and smart shapes with words in them, high tech I know, I’m making a responsive project.

On some slides the text captions have this little grey box, in the bottom right, that when selected will pop out the text. I DO NOT want this box, and on some slides with the same text or smart shape the grey box with the arrow won’t me there.

Can someone please suggest to me 1. either how to get rid of this box, or 2. how to add it to every Text/smart shape caption so that my project is concise.

TIA,

Brianna

Adding to Lieve’s good ideas, it might be that your texts at the end contain (invisible) empty lines. Make sure to check and remove them.

That Display button is used when there is not enough space in the text container. You can only get rid of it by making sure that the text can be displayed on any screen, whatever the browser resolution. Clicking that button will open a popup to show the full text.

Some ideas to realize it:

  • Make the text container as large as possible, and take out any padding.
  • Decrease the minimum font size from the default 14pt to 10 or even 8pt.
  • If it is possible choose a Narrow attribute which is available for some fonts (like Arial).
  • Shorten text.
