Calling in video from a media repository
December 13, 2023

Using Captivate 2019 11.5.0.476 on a Windows 11 Machine.

I cannot use YouTube or Vimeo (neither meet the requirements for use in a FEDRAMP Moderate environment) to house my videos. Am I just out of luck in terms of being able to call a video into my project? We have an Azure media repository available, but the options seem limited to calling it from my computer or using one of the two listed above.

Hey Brett,

I think we have the same issue. I have videos hosted on SharePoint/Microsoft Stream. All I want to do is create an iframe embed for the videos, but the only Web options are options we cant use.

I am working with Cp12 but it sounds like the same concern.

Nice nickname

Even more complicated in version 12, which has no web object to be inserted.

I never understood the necessity for responsive layouts when video is an important part of an eLearning course.

May I suggest to update ASAP to version 11.5.5.553? That version is a lot more stable and has less bugs.

Could you try to use a web object for the video? Upload the video to a webserver and point to its URL.
