I’ve been trying to transition to the new Adobe Captivate, but I’m running into a major roadblock: it still doesn’t seem possible to open Captivate Classic (.CPTX) files in the new version.

I did see in this article that Adobe announced that a migration tool is coming in a future release—but it’s not available yet. (The article notes that the feature is “Coming Soon”, but it was publised 1 year ago today and I’m still not seeing this feature.) In the meantime, anyone with years of Classic content is stuck maintaining two separate environments just to keep existing courses updated.

With core support for Captivate Classic ending in August 2026, I’m getting nervous about how to handle our existing course library.

Is anyone aware of a workaround, early access option, or anything that could help in the meantime? I’d really appreciate guidance from anyone who’s navigating the same challenge.
